Overview of SPEECH-LANGUAGE SERVICES
OVERVIEW
The UNCG Speech and Hearing Center provides professional speech services that is open to the public, as well as UNCG students, faculty and staff.
Services include evaluation and treatment for communication disorders or differences, for individuals of all ages across the lifespan. Our licensed speech-language pathologists offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, as well as community support programs and rehabilitation.
SPEECH-LANGUAGE SERVICES
Services for communication disorders or differences include:
- Aphasia
- Articulation disorders
- Cognitive-Linguistic Disorders
- Motor Speech Disorders – Apraxia and Dysarthria
- Social Communication Disorders
- Swallowing Disorders
- Voice Disorders
Telerehabilitation SERVICES
In addition to in-person services, some speech-language services may be offered through telehealth. Telerehabilitation is a way to provide remote services for clients who may be unable to attend appointments in person or would prefer to receive care in a different environment such as their own home. State licensure is required wherever the client in located. Contact the Center with questions about whether telerehabilitation services may be right for you.
