Missed Appointment Policy
To help us provide timely care for all patients, we kindly ask for at least a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Beginning May 15, 2026, a $50 fee will apply to missed appointments (no-shows) and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
NEW CLIENT FORMS
Individuals new to our center are asked to submit completed forms prior to attending the first appointment. Please see instructions for filling out the forms electronically via encyrpted email, through the patient portal, or by mail.

Patient portal
The Patient Portal is an important communication tool that can be used by patients of the UNCG Speech and Hearing Center. The portal is used to pay bills, upload or change information, cancel or make appointments, communicate with providers, and access health resources. The UNCG Speech and Hearing Center also sends opt-in text messages via the portal (see SMS Terms of service and SMS Privacy Policy below).
SMS Terms of Service
UNCG Speech and Hearing Center sends subscribers appointment reminders and other updates to patients who choose (or opt in) to text messaging service. Message frequency will vary. Reply HELP for more information or contact 336.334.5939. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP to opt out.
SMS Privacy Policy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Insurance and billing for appointments
UNCG Speech and Hearing Center is a participating provider with Medicare Part B and some Medicare Advantage plans. We also are an in-network provider for the Aetna State Health Plan. The Center does not bill other insurance, but will provide an invoice for the patient to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Payment for copays and non-covered services is due at the time of service. A good faith estimate will be provided once the appointment has been scheduled. PARKING AND DIRECTIONS TO THE CENTER
The Speech and Hearing Center is located on the our campus. The Center has seven parking spaces that are conveniently located adjacent to the Ferguson Building.

- These spaces are identified by signs labeled “Reserved Clinic Parking” (see map).
- You must have a valid parking pass to park in these spaces. Please request a pass upon arriving for your first appointment. You will be given a code to access the parking pass from the marked mailbox in the parking lot near the light pole. Your pass may be used for all subsequent visits.
- The circle drive is for patient drop off only.
- Street parking along Highland Avenue may be available, but is limited to two hours and is not guaranteed.
